Day 1: Your view
Day 2: Words
Day 3: Hands
Day 4: Stranger
I have been go, go, go ever since I left work yesterday. I have spent more money than I care to admit (hello, $125 at Sephora), but I did a lot of things that I’ve been putting off for a long time due to lack of funds. Ariana had a hair cut, Jake got new clothes, and I was able to squeeze some new work clothes in for myself as well. Consumerism at its finest, ladies and gentlemen, but I’ll be damned if I don’t feel better for the whole of it.
I also got to go to a sunrise yoga class this morning taught by my new friend Vicky. I met her at a mutual friend’s birthday dinner a few weeks ago and liked her instantly, so when I heard she was an instructor I was eager to take her class. She is a fantastic teacher – very hands on and very helpful. I left her studio feeling better than I have in MONTHS, and it really set the tone for the rest of my day. Getting up at 6:20 on a Saturday morning is generally not on my list of things I love to do, but it was totally worth it.
The kids and I sort of tapered our activity off this afternoon. We went grocery shopping, ate dinner together (although it was three completely different meals, heh) and now we’re all just sort of doing our own thing. It’s going to be a quiet evening in, and the more of these I have, the more I am starting to enjoy them.
